CAMO Base Maintenance Planner and Techrep
Mærsk
At Maersk Air Cargo, we’re proud to play an important role in Maersk’s ambition to deliver truly integrated global logistics. Our aviation operation brings together specialist expertise, teamwork and a strong commitment to safe and reliable operations. We are now looking for a CAMO Base Maintenance Planner & Technical Representative to join our team and contribute to the continued development and success of our air cargo operation.
About the role This is a hands-on role combining detailed base maintenance planning with the opportunity to represent CAMO on site during scheduled maintenance inputs. You will take ownership of assigned base maintenance events, including C-Checks, coordinating the work scope, materials and technical requirements before acting as the key CAMO interface with the contracted Part-145 maintenance organisation during the maintenance input. It’s an opportunity to work across the complete base-maintenance lifecycle rather than focusing purely on planning.
Flexibility to travel extensively is essential, with approximately 40–60 travel days per year, typically in periods of 2–5 weeks at a time, depending on the base maintenance schedule. Travel requirements may increase as the fleet grows. This role would particularly suit an experienced aircraft maintenance technician looking to transition from a hands-on, shift-based environment into a CAMO/office-based position, while remaining closely connected to aircraft maintenance activities.
What you'll be doing
Base maintenance planning & preparation You will:
Plan and prepare assigned base maintenance inputs and the associated work package. Ensure scheduled tasks, ADs, EOs, inspections, modifications and other approved requirements are included. Coordinate material, component, rotable and modification-kit availability with Logistics. Align technical scope, schedule and readiness with Engineering, MCC, Technical Records and the selected MRO. Support task-card, maintenance-programme and planning-system improvements, including lessons learned.
Technical representation & on-site coordination During assigned maintenance inputs, you will
Act as the on-site CAMO Technical Representative and primary interface with the MRO during assigned checks. Monitor progress, findings, quality indicators, man-hour development, material status and schedule risks; report status to CAMO. Coordinate technical queries, additional work and findings; approve only within delegated authority and escalate when required. Monitor that the agreed maintenance scope is completed and appropriately documented by the contracted Part-145 organisation. Coordinate return-to-operation readiness with iOCC and relevant stakeholders, including deferred-item disposition where applicable. Ensure maintenance records, release documentation and system updates are received, reviewed, filed and followed through to closure.
What we’re looking for Ideally, you will have:
A minimum of three years’ relevant continuing-airworthiness knowledge and practical experience. Good working knowledge of EASA Part-CAMO and Part-145, with knowledge of Part-21. Understanding of MSG-3 principles, Aircraft Maintenance Programmes and scheduled maintenance planning. Experience working with aircraft technical manuals such as AMM, IPC, SRM, SSM, FIM, WDM and MEL, as applicable. Good understanding of work packages, task cards, maintenance records, ADs, EOs, modifications and repairs. Relevant aircraft-type general familiarisation and applicable company procedures, including CTS-1 and CTS-2. Strong communication, coordination and stakeholder-management skills in English. The ability to work independently and make sound decisions within delegated authority. Flexibility to travel for extended periods during assigned maintenance inputs. Experience or an AML relating to Boeing 767 or Boeing 777 aircraft would be advantageous.
If you’re looking for an opportunity to combine your technical maintenance experience with planning, coordination and technical representation in an international air cargo environment, we’d like to hear from you. Apply today!
