Your impact begins here As Senior Outsourcing Manager, you will lead the outsourcing projects that keep Novo’s drug development moving. Working with experts across Novo and external CMO partners worldwide, you will drive strong progress and high-quality deliveries from project start to completion. You will also be part of shaping global strategic CMO collaborations, bringing new treatments closer to the people who need them. Your impact begins with every project you lead. What you’ll bring You bring solid drug development experience and the confidence to lead across functions and organisations. A MSc or PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering or another relevant life science. 4–6+ years of experience from the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or another highly regulated industry. A strong understanding of the R&D value chain, drug development processes and Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) requirements. Experience with outsourcing, CMO/CDMO collaboration and ideally contract negotiations. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, and the ability to navigate a complex, interdisciplinary organisation. The ability to create structure, turn information into clear presentations and build trust across functions and with external partners. A proactive, positive and independent way of working, and the ability to manage several tasks at once in a fast-paced environment. Fluency in written and spoken English.

What you’ll do You will manage outsourcing projects within drug substance and chemical synthesis, and make sure Novo and its CMO partners work as one team. Lead outsourcing projects from initiation to completion, keeping progress strong and deliveries high in quality. Select and approve CMOs, and build collaborative external partnerships. Negotiate and maintain relevant agreements in close collaboration with Contract Managers. Protect Novo’s intellectual property rights while delivering high-quality assessments on time. Bring colleagues across Novo together, using informal leadership to influence decisions, drive progress and lead complex projects with colleagues and partners. Who you’ll work with You will join the CMC Outsourcing & Business Development team in CMC Development, part of Global Manufacturing & Supply. CMC Development develops, manufactures and distributes drug candidates for non-clinical and clinical trials. The CMC Outsourcing team supports the Novo development pipeline and has around 30 experienced colleagues responsible for sourcing and outsourcing activities across CMC Development. Based in Bagsværd, you will work with external CMO partners globally and with colleagues across Global Research, Quality, Regulatory, Chemical Development, Manufacturing Development, Purchasing and Commercial Manufacturing. Close collaboration with Contract Managers will help you move agreements forward. You will have significant responsibility and visibility across the business unit, and the clarity you create around priorities will help teams decide, act and deliver. Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 742,600 to 1,091,600 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position. The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
